Fishery Improvement Projects

Project UK Fishery Improvement Projects (FIPs) bring together the private and public sectors to address environmental challenges in the fisheries. Project UK has delivered two ‘Rounds’ of FIPs, comprising of six FIPs that cover the breadth of the UK and focus on eight different species.

 

The first two Rounds of Project UK FIPs have now concluded.

Steering Groups & Governance

Project UK is a collaborative partnership with diverse and expert stakeholders that make up the individual FIP Steering Groups, independent observers, and core funders. Project UK is facilitated by the Marine Stewardship Council, as Secretariat, and participants are subject to the Project UK Terms of Reference.

Core Funders

Project UK is funded by a group of core organisations, each of whom make an annual contribution in support of the running of the project.
